An impressionistic take on a Cinnamon Phase Black Bear of the Northwoods. You might not know that "Black" Bears in the wild can be Black, Brown, Cinnamon or even almost Blonde in coloration or "phase". They have a very complex personality ranging from goofy to fierce depending upon the situation. They are generally wary of humans and more likely to flee or be cautiously curious. Even so, they are protective of their young and should be treated with an abundance of respect and caution. They are wild and they can be dangerous. This carving is intended to capture the goofy happy go lucky side of their personality. I love when they let their lower lip go slack and droopy looking for their next munchy. This Northwoods Creation carving is made to grace the wall of lodge, cabin, outhouse or Kids Room just for fun. Carved from Knotty pine from the Northwoods of Michigan including a fur-like texture and look, finished in a Cinnamon stain with ebony and red accents as well as the natural wood-tone of the pine followed by a thin semi-gloss polyurethane sealer. The item measures roughly 9 inches tall x 7 inches wide x 3 inches in depth and weighs 1 pound 4 ounces. A small hole is pre-drilled on the back for ease of hanging on your wall.
