Northwoods Creations began with a chunk of scrap-wood and a desire to "make something" to capture a memory of a wolf encounter in the Northwoods. I offer artistic "impressions" of some of my favorite inhabitants of the wild places to decorate lodge, cabin or the kids room.

The owner/artist draws upon 50+ years of adventures in the wild and translates those experiences into durable and aesthetic handcrafts for folks whose heart yearns for times of refreshment under open skies, in the cool of the forest, or along the singing waters of the wild places. Yet, we still have to work, at times in office buildings, on the go, or in meetings, so a line of office accoutrements with a "touch of the outdoors" is also offered. All items are hand-crafted by the owner/artist - may they bring you joy and remind you that good times in the field are ahead!

The world has become so much more complex since Oscar Wilde expressed this sentiment in the late 1800's. "The taint" of trials, sometimes of massive proportions, invades our lives. I find courage when I am able to venture into open spaces, marvel at its beauty, gaze heavenward and know that the One who spoke such marvels into existence also created me, and will never leave me nor forsake me. I pray you find solace by being mindful of the good things, the marvelous things, the beautiful things that are unmoved by earthly travails, and perhaps in doing so, find yourself gazing heavenward comforted and encouraged by the lovingkindness and mercy of our Creator.
